Key Responsibilities • Providing practical SHEQ advice and guidance to Project Managers, Site Managers and site teams. • Supporting compliance with Health & Safety legislation, including the CDM Regulations and keeping up to date with current legislation, guidance and best practice. • Carrying out regular site inspections and audits, monitoring SHEQ standards, identifying areas for improvement and reporting findings to relevant management teams. • Reviewing risk assessments, method statements and other SHEQ documentation, providing advice and support where required. • Identifying potential operational risks and opportunities and working with project teams to develop practical and effective solutions. • Assisting with the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses, identifying appropriate corrective actions and supporting their implementation. • Supporting the delivery of SHEQ training, inductions, briefings and toolbox talks where required. • Maintaining accurate SHEQ records, reports and performance information. • Supporting the development of a strong Health & Safety culture across the Company and promoting positive safety behaviours. • Supporting the Company’s SHEQ management systems and accreditations, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. • Working collaboratively with teams to promote continuous improvement across Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality processes. • Liaising with external bodies, clients and relevant stakeholders in relation to Health & Safety matters where required. • Attending project and site meetings where required. • Undertaking any other duties as required in line with the role and the needs of the business. The successful candidate will assist in the manufacturing of parts through the production process, ensuring planned times for setting and manufacturing are met or improved; and high-quality parts produced within required performance, cost and delivery targets. Responsibilities: • Set and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning machines. • Produce precision components to drawing and customer specifications. • Set tooling, manufacture soft jaws, and establish machine datums. • Inspect components using precision measuring equipment. • Optimise cycle times while maintaining quality and safety. • Troubleshoot tooling, programme, and machine issues. • Complete production documentation and support continuous improvement. • You will work closely with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to optimize production processes and achieve efficient and accurate machining operations. • Attention to detail and ability to perform in-process inspections to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards. • Adherence to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment – Zero Tolerance to safety. • Knowledge of machine guarding, lockout/tagout procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. • exercised in accordance with company policy and procedure (including standard operating, health and safety and HR procedures) • Compliance with company policies, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations. • Lead by example by living the company mission and values, demonstrating a proactive, ethical, and can-do approach. • undertaken in an ethical manner with due consideration to the needs and concerns of others (particularly in relation to equality and diversity), effective use of company resources and sustainability. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues, supervisors, and engineers. • Ability to document and maintain accurate production records, inspection reports, setup sheets, tool lists & kits. • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, machining techniques, and process improvements across the Business. Requirements: • In-depth knowledge and experience in operating CNC machines, specifically Fanuc Controls. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications. • Able to fully set CNC machines, including installing workpieces, fixtures, cutting tools, and datum all tools and work shifts. • Engineering, drawing interpretation and GD&T. • Use of varies measuring Equipment: Micrometers, verniers, bore gauges and plug gauges. • Good working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and Engineering drawings is essential. • Understanding machine parameters, speeds, feeds, and optimization techniques for efficient production. • Ability to produce components to drawing tolerance and specifications, efficiently and accurately as required by internal and external customer specifications. • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills.
