    Are you an experienced, highly motivated mental health practitioner, with CAMHS/Youth Justice experience and who is passionate about improving health outcomes for young people within the Criminal Justice system? We now have the opportunity to recruit a full time (1.0 WTE) Band 7 Youth Justice Liaison and Diversion Practitioner, Hammersmith and Fulham Borough, to join our well established and expanding Liaison and Diversion service within West London. This is a 12-month fixed term contract and would consider a secondment internally. As part of your role, you will be expected to attend police custody, to screen and assess any under 18 presenting. This is deemed the “reachable moment” within Youth Justice. The two custody suites, Hammersmith and Acton, serves a large diverse borough within the West London area. The Youth Justice Liaison team sits within a wider Liaison and Diversion service in West London NHS Trust, including Court Diversion at Westminster and Ealing, Crown Court at Isleworth and Police Liaison service at Acton and Hammersmith, alongside two other YJLD practitioners in Hounslow and Ealing boroughs. We are looking for suitably experienced mental health professionals rather than one particular discipline. We are interested in hearing from mental health/Learning disability nurses, social workers or occupational therapists. We provide proactive screening and assessment to individuals within Police custody, Youth Justice Teams and Court, identifying need/vulnerabilities, signposting to other services and where indicated diverting to health. You will be screening those under 18. Our aim is to improve overall health outcomes, reduce further police contact and re-offending rates, and to avert disorder-related crises.Your will improve access to appropriate services for vulnerable young people by making referrals to health and social care agencies as required. The YJLD Worker may also need to make a care plan to address the needs of the young person while a referral is being made and is expected to hold a small caseload, while assertively in reaching to other services. The service needs practitioners who can think quickly and work independently under pressure when screening and assessing vulnerable young people in the Youth Justice service. You will need excellent communication and risk management skills and demonstrate a commitment to close partnership working with the Police, YJS, Education and other agencies, both statutory and voluntary. The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate knowledge and direct experience of the crisis pathway and risk management to a high standard and should have previous significant clinical experience working with young people within acute, community and/or forensic settings. Are you a Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with head and neck oncology experience looking to gain experience in a highly specialist role? Or, are you and Band 7 SLT specialising in adults, with videofluoroscopy, tracheostomy and FEES experience looking to gain experience in the field of head and neck oncology? If so, this 7.5 month contract could be the perfect opportunity for you. Please note, that part-time employment will also be considered. You will be based in the community, as a core member of the Southeast London Community Head and Neck Cancer Team (CHANT). You will work closely with the CHANT multidisciplinary team members, providing highly specialist care, closer to home. You will have significant postgraduate specialist experience of managing patients with complex swallowing and communication disorders with adult populations. You will be able to demonstrate competence in independently managing patients with a tracheostomy. You will have a high level of competence in undertaking videofluoroscopy and knowledge and experience of interpreting and reporting FEES. You will also have a proven track record of working as an autonomous specialist SLT within a multidisciplinary team. As part of this role you will be required to supervise SLTs. Please see attached Job Description for full details. • To provide highly specialist Speech & Language Therapy input to a multidisciplinary client focussed rehabilitation service based in the Community for adults with Head & Neck Cancer. • To integrate and closely liaise with the Acute Head & Neck multidisciplinary team based at the Cancer Centre (GSTFT) in order to deliver a seamless rehabilitative service to this population. • To undertake advanced diagnosis, assessment and treatment of patients with a range of communication and swallowing disorders arising from Head & Neck Cancer and the treatment thereof. • To both participate in and proactively facilitate the development of this innovative multidisciplinary team at all stages along the patient pathway. The Adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) Department at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital consists of 26.2 WTE SLTs and 1.4 WTE SLT Assistants. It has now moved to a dedicated area on Level 1 Ealing Hospital with 18 chairs/Trolleys as well as 2 Side Rooms for Assessment. ACU is open 9-8pm 7 days a week and your Rota will encompass On Call Days where you cover 9-8pm. At ACU we aim to assess patients requiring emergency care who can be managed safely and appropriately on the same day either without admission or admission for only a number of hours. We have developed medical, ED and surgical pathways which are implemented in our ACU. ACU takes referrals from GPs, ED to avoid admission and wards to facilitate discharge. Successful candidates will contribute in developing and expanding this service further. The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust is looking for a Consultant Radiologist with specialist interest in Chest Imaging to support Lung Cancer Screening in a busy and expanding department, predominantly based at he Princess Royal Hospital (PRH), with responsibilities across both hospitals' sites. Due to a rapidly expanding workload most interests can be accommodated. One cancer MDT is an expectation; a second interest can likely be accommodated. Lung biopsy skills are expected. The posts will include sessions at the two main hospital sites within an overall flexible group job planning format, with an agreed overall sessional make up as described below. Apart from lung biopsy work, there is currently no dedicated respiratory imaging component such as a formal MDT. There may, however, be scope to develop a non‑cancer MDT in the future, as much of this discussion is presently carried out informally through individual meetings or email correspondence with the chest physicians. The ability to cover the screening MDT would be highly valuable, and there may also be future opportunities to take on the Responsible Radiologist role. Applications are welcome from candidates who wish to be considered for a part-time or flexible working arrangement. Contribution to an out of hours on call rota is core to this role. • Share in the general imaging workload and collaborate with colleagues to support tumour-specific and other sub-specialty reporting, using PACS. • Contribute to the general work of the department would be expected from the successful applicant, includingreporting of the general radiographic examinations carried out within the main sites, as well as in the various community hospital locations in Shropshire and the CDC. • Maintain a general Radiology practice while contributing to sub-specialty areas, as per departmental needs. • To work flexibly according to changes in work patterns and requirements. General skills must be maintained to support the acute hospitals’ needs in evening and weekend working. • Addressing GP and clinician queries and vetting are core to the role. • To be involved in the organisation and administration of the Radiology Department and teaching of other clinical staff including participation in regular clinico-radiological meetings with other Consultants. • To be involved in the training of junior Radiology staff.
