The successful candidate will join a team of four Consultant Breast Radiologists and two Consultant Radiographers who provide a comprehensive breast imaging service including both screening and symptomatic across the region. The post includes supervision and training of specialist registrars and advanced practioners. The post is intended to provide 7.5 sessions of breast imaging with an additional commitment to cross-sectional CT reporting. There will be provision of standard 1.5 SPA. Additional training in breast screening can be provided if necessary. This post could be tailored to suit a locum or less than full time role. If the appointee is not a UK CCT holder, they will be expected to work towards CCT in clinical radiology via the CESR route within an agreed period. Progress towards this goal will be reviewed regularly. This post attracts 10-programmed activities per week. The indicative PAs are outlined below and will be reviewed once in post and job plan is finalised. Responsibility for maintaining departmental stationary supplies and office equipment and ordering where required adhering to budgetary confines and following local departmental processes. 1. Ensuring stock of patient information leaflets is maintained and numbers controlled by recording all relevant information in a departmental excel spreadsheet log– ordering additional supplies where required. 1. Ensuring that all specialised kit required to carry out endoscopy procedures are requested in a timely manner through Unisoft and the Endoscopy ward manager at time of booking patient. 1. Ensuring that all specialised kit required to carry out theatre procedures are requested in a timely manner through the theatre utilisation weekly group and recorded within EIS 1. Adapting positively to change when new booking methods or working practice guidelines are introduced; 1. Working additional hours as and when required to meet the demands of the service or when colleagues are absent through annual leave/sickness. Prior notice will be given; 1.
