The Rotational Ward Clerk role provides essential cover for the administrative roles that support our inpatient services here at Tameside Hospital; this will include; in patient Wards, Same Day Emergency Care & Early Pregnancy patient receptions, as well as general and specialist administration. There are a variety of shift patterns between the hours of 7am and 9pm across a 7 day footprint and the successful candidate must be flexible to work across these hours/day including bank holidays etc. The hours will predominantly be 08:00am - 20:00pm Monday to Sunday worked on a shift pattern therefore flexibility in the role is imperative. Providing a comprehensive ward reception and administration service, the post holder will, in collaboration with other ward staff, support patients, relatives and other staff members as a first point of contact. The Ward clerk will update the Trust Electronic Patient Record (Lorenzo EPR) accurately and in real time whilst also ensuring patient case notes are available and appropriately maintained throughout each admission.
