Conduct a program of fire risk assessments in all Trust occupied premises, working to the standards in Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Health Technical Memorandums (HTM’s), Building Regulations, British Standards and other relevant documentation, to ensure the Trust and its buildings comply with current fire legislation. Undertaking overarching fire risk assessments in complex hospital buildings, to ensure efficacy of shared arrangements, horizontal evacuation and compartmentation, taking into consideration the profile of occupants. Ensure all wards, departments and units have local plans in place detailing the actions to be taken in case of fire. Ensure these are reviewed regularly and their contents understood by staff. Band 6 Bereavement Midwife Accountable for the overall provision of high midwifery standards of bereavement care and run a high risk Rainbow Clinic. Part time 26 Hrs HHFT Multi-site working The post holder will provide total midwifery care for both high and low risk mothers within all midwifery environments. Offer specialist support to families experiencing miscarriage, termination of pregnancy, neonatal death and still birth when required and in the absence of the senior bereavement midwife. The post holder will be accountable for the overall provision of high midwifery standards of bereavement care and provide evidenced based woman centred bereavement midwifery care, which can be delivered in a variety of models. An opportunity for a Specialist Biomedical Scientist within the field of Haematology and Blood Transfusion is now available. The post holder will be highly skilled in the use of the latest techniques and complex instrumentation alongside more traditional manual methods of investigation. The individual will be expected to apply professional judgement and utilise specialist skills and knowledge to provide a timely result service to the clinician. The individual will be committed to formally maintaining their specialist skills and knowledge by appropriate training and self-education. The post holder will enjoy supporting the development and training of registered BMS and associate practitioner colleagues and play an active role in maintaining high standards of quality management, as well as taking a lead role in a specific responsibility commensurate with a band 6 role. We provide a 24/7 diagnostic service and we can offer full time hours covering day, evening, night and weekends. If you have the qualifications and experience (minimum IBMS specialist portfolio or IBMS accredited MSc) and wish to develop your knowledge and skills in haematology and blood transfusion, we are waiting to hear from you.
