    We are looking for an experienced Children's Social Worker to join a Referral & Assessment Team. Please note: To be considered for this role, you must hold a Social Work qualification and have a minimum of 3 years' post-qualified experience, gained within permanent Social Work roles. About the team The Referral & Assessment Team acts as the first point of contact for safeguarding concerns and requests for support relating to children within the local community. The team receives referrals from schools, health professionals, families and members of the public where there are concerns around a child's safety or welfare. Social Workers are responsible for assessing incoming referrals, identifying the appropriate level of need and ensuring that children and families receive the right support in a timely way. This is a guaranteed Referral & Assessment role for the first 6 months, providing stability and a clear focus before the local authority moves across to the new Family First model. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Children's Social Worker to work within a busy front-door service, managing referrals and completing assessments while playing a key role in ensuring safeguarding concerns are responded to appropriately. About you Social Work degree / DipSW / CQSW Minimum 3 years' post-qualified experience in permanent Social Work roles Experience within Children's Social Work Flexible, resilient and reflective approach A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred but not essential What's on offer?
