You will need to: Have a knowledge of help-seeking barriers and support needs of victims of domestic and sexual abuse (in heterosexual or same-sex relationships). Have a good understanding of domestic and sexual abuse including the impact of abuse on victims and their children. Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic and sexual abuse and their children. Understand safeguarding issues, and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues. Experience of direct service delivery to victims of domestic and sexual abuse or other vulnerable people. Have strong communication, negotiation and advocacy skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals. About the Role As a Service Delivery Assistant - Triage, you will provide high-quality administrative support to the Safe Horizons Triage Team. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing referrals and enquiries received through the service inbox, maintaining accurate records and acting as a key administrative contact for partner agencies. Key Responsibilities Monitor the Safe Horizons inbox and process referrals, enquiries and correspondence within agreed timescales. About the role: You will be talking to people on the telephone from a variety of different backgrounds, all with different experiences. No two days are the same & you will need to use your communication skills and resilient nature to help those dealing with trauma and the effects of crime, who may have gone through a life-changing experience. About the Role As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.
