Salary: £25,632 - £32,763 per annum (pro-rata, based on 36 hours per week) Working Hours: Mon 08:30-16:00 | Tue-Thu 08:30-16:15 | Fri 08:30-15:45 What You'll Be Doing Leading & Covering: Step up to lead dynamic small-group sessions, work 1-to-1 with individual pupils, and provide short-term cover for class teachers when required. Planning & Resource Design: Work collaboratively with teaching staff to shape engaging lessons and tailored educational materials. Supporting Growth & Wellbeing: Encourage independence, boost pupil confidence, and apply positive behaviour management techniques across the school. Tracking & Communication: Monitor pupil progress, maintain accurate records, and build positive relationships with parents and carers. Pastoral & Campus Safety: Provide dedicated pastoral care, assist with break/lunchtime supervision, escort offsite visits, and ensure safe movement around our broad campus grounds. Multidisciplinary Teamwork: Work closely with occupational and speech therapists, while mentoring trainees and new colleagues. What We Look For Essential Criteria Qualified HLTA status (or an unqualified practitioner fully committed to completing the qualification). Ability to break down and adapt learning materials for a wide range of academic abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent time management, and a keen eye for detail. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the flexibility to thrive independently or as part of a close-knit team. An empathetic, energetic approach to supporting children with additional needs. Access to personal transport (essential due to our semi-rural location). Full eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Desirable Criteria Prior experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment.
