The service is designed to support the holistic mental health and learning disability needs of our client group, in partnership with physical healthcare providers and HMPPS colleagues. HMP Altcourse are both Category B, male only, local prisons, in the Liverpool area. The service provides individual and group-based interventions based on the clinical needs of the population. Interventions are individualised, and trauma informed, alongside comprehensive risk assessment and management. Core aims of the service are to improve mental and psychological wellbeing via a range of interventions, build the development of independent core skills, reduce risk, and advocate for mental health and learning disabilities within the wider prison. The post holder will be joining a dedicated team of clinical staff from a range of backgrounds and experience.     Job overview The Older People’s Intensive Home Treatment Team is a multidisciplinary team, providing a service seven days a week, 365 days per year to individuals in mental health crisis with the principal aim of providing an effective alternative to inpatient care. The team also carries out 72 hour follow–up for individuals discharged from mental health inpatient units. To manage and supervise the Pharmacy service and ensure that it is compliant with statutory controls, professional requirements, and local/national policies and guidance on medicines. 2. To be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of the pharmacy service provided to Bristol cluster of Prisons. 3. To ensure the service meets the high standards of quality as defined by the service specification and if services are noted to fall short of these requirements, to take the necessary actions to improve services to meet these requirements. 4. To lead on Medicines Management within the Bristol Prison cluster, including the development and implementation of a formulary, and to report into the Trust Medicines Management committee via the OPS Chief Pharmacist, to ensure consistency across all services provided by Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. 5.
