Summary

As the Team Manager you will provide operational management support to the PCS ADHD service ensuring its smooth running and the provision of a high-quality front-line customer service environment. You will be a key member of the management team working alongside the Head of Service and the services clinical leads to ensure consistent high standards of service are delivered. You will manage the clinicians and administrators within the team, supporting the governance of the service, including providing information for performance management and the ongoing monitoring and delivery of key performance areas. You will be responsible for coordinating clinical rotas, including managing holidays and other periods of absence and ensuring adequate cover arrangements are in place. The role involves significant organisational tasks, effective team working and a high level of communication. The PCS ADHD service is working across the interface between primary care, voluntary sector and secondary services, with the aim of improving the mental health and well-being of our communities.Main Duties and Responsibilities General Duties Support the wider team members in the day-to-day operational management of the PCS ADHD service. Hold responsibility for the coordination of the diagnostic and treatment service, ensuring adequate levels of cover are maintained for clinical and operational staff. Support the administration team as and when required. Be responsible for the day to day Line management of administrative staff, Be responsible for all aspects of line manager HR processes, including ensuring the appropriate documents are forward to HR for filing, probations, sickness/absence management and monitoring performance or carrying out investigations when necessary. Ensure safe and effective IT and clinical systems are in place to support the service and oversee key administrative tasks relating to performance monitoring and reporting. Attend key meetings representing the flow of patient care and supporting any change processes Ensure written procedures for the administrative aspects of the service are regularly reviewed and updated. Implement systems for improving quality of customer service. Organise, coordinate and participate in meetings, workshops, training events and service planning discussions as necessary. Develop protocols and ensure robust policies and procedures are in place in line with PCS policies and procedures. Lead on specific development project and ensure effective and robust project management. Produce documents and reports for management purposes, including analysis of data. Respond to verbal and written complaints about the service in a timely and appropriate manner, in line with PCS policy, and refer unresolved issues to senior management where necessary.
