A supportive primary school in Harrow is looking for a Primary Teacher to join its team from January.

You'll plan learning that provides appropriate challenge while recognising that children don't all progress in exactly the same way.
Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Setting clear expectations and maintaining positive behaviour.
- Assessing pupil attainment and monitoring progress.
- Using assessment to shape future teaching.
- Differentiating lessons around different abilities and learning needs.
- Identifying pupils who may require additional support.
- Adapting teaching for children with SEND.
- Working effectively with Teaching Assistants and support staff.
- Encouraging independence, resilience and curiosity.
- Building positive relationships with pupils and families.
- Contributing to planning and development across the wider school.
As your experience grows, so do the directions your career can take.
You might discover that you're particularly passionate about English, maths, science, early reading or another curriculum area.
You may want to deepen your knowledge of SEND and inclusive education.
Perhaps you're interested in pastoral provision, behaviour, curriculum development or mentoring other teachers.

We're looking for a Primary Teacher who takes pride in their classroom practice while remaining open to developing it.
You'll ideally:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience teaching within a primary setting.
- Understand the primary curriculum and age-related expectations.
- Be confident planning and delivering effective lessons.
- Adapt your teaching around different learning needs.
- Understand the importance of inclusive classroom practice.
- Have effective classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- Build positive relationships with children.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues.
- Communicate professionally with parents and carers.
- Be reflective, enthusiastic and committed to your own development.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, will be required.
By the end of your next role, you should be able to look back and recognise how you've developed.
Maybe you'll have strengthened your SEND practice.
Perhaps you'll have taken greater responsibility for curriculum planning.
You might have discovered a subject specialism or become confident enough to consider your first leadership opportunity.
