You'll take responsibility for a primary class, creating an environment where pupils feel supported, challenged and excited about learning.
Your role will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across the primary curriculum.
- Creating clear learning objectives and appropriate levels of challenge.
- Assessing attainment and monitoring individual pupil progress.
- Using assessment to identify gaps and shape future teaching.
- Differentiating learning around different abilities and needs.
- Adapting lessons for pupils with SEND.
- Establishing positive classroom routines and expectations.
- Encouraging children to become confident, independent learners.
- Working closely with Teaching Assistants to maximise classroom support.
- Providing additional challenge for pupils who are ready to progress further.
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers.
- Contributing ideas and expertise to the wider school team.

What Will You Bring to the School?
We're looking for a teacher who cares about delivering consistently good learning experiences and wants to keep improving their practice.
You'll ideally:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate recognised teaching qualification.
- Have experience within a primary school setting.
- Understand the primary curriculum and age-related expectations.
- Plan purposeful, engaging and well-structured lessons.
- Adapt teaching around different abilities and additional needs.
- Have confident classroom and behaviour-management skills.
- Understand the importance of assessment and pupil progress.
- Build strong, appropriate relationships with children.
- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and colleagues.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers.
- Be reflective, enthusiastic and willing to keep learning.
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one, will be required.
