A friendly and inclusive primary school in Rochdale is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will work alongside class teachers to provide high-quality classroom support across Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. You will deliver targeted interventions, support individuals and small groups, and contribute to creating an engaging learning environment. The role may also involve supporting pupils with additional needs, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed.
- Support teaching and learning across the primary curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions and small group sessions to raise attainment.
- Provide one-to-one support for pupils who require additional assistance.
- Assist with planning, preparing, and adapting learning resources.
- Promote positive behaviour and support pupils' emotional wellbeing.
- Support pupils with SEND, adapting learning strategies to meet individual needs.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and wider school staff.
- Contribute to pupil observations and progress records where appropriate.

- Hold a Level 3 Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (or equivalent).
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school.
- Possess a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Be confident supporting children with a range of learning abilities, including SEND.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be patient, adaptable, and committed to supporting children's learning and wellbeing.
- Have the right to work in the UK and be available to work full-time.
Desirable
- Experience delivering intervention programmes in English and Maths.
- Knowledge of phonics programmes such as Little Wandle, Read Write Inc., or Letters and Sounds.
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs.
- Paediatric First Aid or relevant safeguarding training.
