THE ROLE

As a Woodland Check-In Assistant, you’ll be one of the first people our guests meet as they arrive at LaplandUK, creating a warm and memorable first impression. Working across the Elven Bazaar and Woodland Check-In areas, you’ll welcome families, check them into the experience, provide important information and support late arrivals, helping every guest begin their magical journey feeling welcomed, informed and excited. You’ll combine excellent customer service, confident use of technology and a positive approach to help deliver a seamless arrival experience.

You’ll:

• Provide a warm, friendly and memorable welcome to every guest

• Check families into the experience using onsite systems and touchscreen tablets

• Share important information about the day's experience

• Support late-arriving guests and help them join their tour as smoothly as possible

• Answer guest questions and resolve queries with professionalism, warmth and a touch of Lapland magic

• Work across indoor and outdoor locations while maintaining excellent guest service

• Support VIP and PR guests as directed by the VIP management team

• Work closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the guest arrival experience

• Help families feel confident, informed and excited as they begin their LaplandUK journey

• Use technology and digital systems confidently to support guest interactions

• Follow LaplandUK guest service, costume, appearance and operational standards

• Attend all required paid training sessions

SKILLS NEEDED

• Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with guests and families

• Comfortable using technology, touchscreen tablets and digital systems

• Calm and professional in a busy, fast-paced environment

• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

• Reliable, organised and able to work effectively as part of a team

• Passionate about creating magical experiences for families

• Confident handling guest questions and different situations

• Positive and proactive with a strong attention to detail

• Able to work comfortably across both indoor and outdoor guest-facing areas

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum age: 18

• Available for the full live event period from 5 November to 24 December 2026

• Available to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week

• Available to attend all required paid training between late October and early November 2026

• Comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment

• Comfortable working across indoor and outdoor locations

• Able to use onsite systems and technology to support guest interactions

• Able to follow LaplandUK costume, appearance and operational standards

• Able to remain calm, professional and helpful during busy periods

• Willing to fully embrace the LaplandUK experience and story

APPEARANCE REQUIREMENTS

• Natural hair colour

• No visible jewellery or piercings while in costume

• No visible tattoos from the collar bone upwards, with further restrictions depending on role requirements

• Natural makeup and nails in line with company guidelines

• Phones and smartwatches must be securely stored in lockers while on shift

• Full appearance guidelines will be provided during onboarding
