Do you have a strong background in supporting children with additional needs and want to take on a role where your knowledge can influence the wider school community?

A well-respected primary school in Harrow is looking for a Lead SEND Teaching Assistant to become an integral part of its inclusion team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEND professional who enjoys working collaboratively, supporting colleagues and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.

You'll work closely with the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions, promote inclusive classroom practice and ensure every child receives the support they need to succeed.

This is a varied and rewarding position where you'll split your time between directly supporting pupils and helping to strengthen the school's SEND provision.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND through tailored one-to-one and small group sessions.

- Delivering interventions that develop communication, emotional regulation, literacy and numeracy.

- Working with children with Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH and other learning differences.

- Collaborating with teachers to implement effective classroom strategies and differentiated learning.

- Monitoring progress against individual learning targets and contributing to pupil reviews.

- Supporting the SENCO with the organisation and delivery of interventions across the school.

- Sharing effective strategies and offering day-to-day support to other Teaching Assistants.

- Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued.

The successful candidate will:

- Have extensive experience supporting pupils with SEND within a primary school.

- Be knowledgeable about a variety of additional learning needs and intervention approaches.

- Be organised, proactive and confident managing a varied workload.

- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and external professionals.

- Demonstrate patience, resilience and a genuine passion for inclusive education.

- Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.

This school is known for its welcoming culture, supportive leadership and commitment to staff development.

You'll benefit from:

- A collaborative and experienced inclusion team.

- Access to high-quality SEND training and ongoing professional development.

- Modern learning spaces and excellent intervention resources.

- Opportunities to develop your leadership experience within education.

- A school community that values teamwork, wellbeing and professional growth.

We're dedicated to helping education professionals find schools where they can build rewarding, long-term careers.

When you work with us, you'll receive:

- Competitive PAYE pay of £100-£110 per day.

- Weekly pay with no hidden deductions.

- Support from a dedicated education recruitment specialist.

- Access to exclusive SEND vacancies across London.

- Honest advice and regular communication throughout your placement.

- A personalised service designed around your career ambitions.

If you're ready to take the next step in your SEND career and want to make a meaningful impact in a supportive Harrow primary school, we'd love to hear from you.
