Summary
Age Concern Tyneside South (ACTS) has an exciting new opportunity for Digital Lead in the organisation. The post holder will lead on all digital activity across ACTS, Connected Caring and Men’s Space. Maintain the websites and lead on Social Media content. Manage the digital retail offer for ACTS linking with partners etc. to develop the income stream.
The role will be also responsible for liaising with digital contractors for the organisation including ICO and IT providers. To mange the digital delivery and staff training re Digital and ensure the organisation is GDPR compliant and Cyber Essentials compliant.
Role: Maintain contact with the Website development Consultant and develop the best digital retail provider. Develop and set up a procedure or process for website updating, social media content and digital retail and provide digital feedback on ACTS and identify risks to reputation and organisation. The role will also be key in developing the response and use of AI for ACTS.
Context: Age Concern Tyneside South is a Registered Charity which promotes the well-being of all people and carers living in South Tyneside, improving their quality of life and helping them maintain their independence.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Promote, arrange, and provide websites and retail digital support, ensuring building premises are maintained as per tenancy agreements.
• Responsibility for completing risk assessments and reviews on digital position.
• Responsibility for security and safety of website process and being shared with senior management
• Day to day supervision and onsite responsibility for website, social media, digital governance and risk, and digital retail
• Building relationships with local companies and artistic providers
• Carry out regular reviews of website service
• Balance factors to make decisions on the needs of the business to report to senior management
• Be aware of relationships with service providers and their regulatory bodies.
• Provide monthly figures, reports
• Support improved access to existing generic provision
• Contribute to the digital development of the staff
• Undertake any other duties commensurate with purpose and remit of the post
