Digital Content Producer- Northern Ireland Assembly

Location: Stormont Buildings, East Belfast

Pay Rate: £18.77 per hour (weekly pay)

The Northern Ireland Assembly is seeking an experienced

Digital Content Producer to create compelling content that informs, engages and connects with audiences across Northern Ireland.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic Communications team and play a key role in enhancing the Assembly's reputation and promoting its corporate objectives through innovative digital content.

About the Role

As Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for the creation, production and management of digital and social media content across the Assembly's channels. From filming and editing video content to designing eye-catching graphics and presenting live broadcasts, you'll help bring the work of the Assembly to life for both the public and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Film, edit and produce high-quality video content for the Assembly's website, intranet and social media platforms.
  • Capture and edit content from Assembly events and engagements, both at Parliament Buildings and external locations.
  • Present and broadcast content for digital channels, including social media and web platforms.
  • Design and publish engaging graphics that support Committee activities, public engagement campaigns and corporate communications.
  • Manage content requests and deliver projects within agreed deadlines.
  • Generate creative ideas to communicate Assembly activity, using your understanding of Assembly processes and Northern Ireland politics.
  • Ensure all content complies with relevant legislation and standards, including GDPR and accessibility requirements.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with MLAs, Assembly Commission staff, government officials and members of the public.
  • Manage information and records in line with statutory requirements, including Freedom of Information requests.
  • Support the Assembly Commission's commitment to equality, diversity and professional standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential Criteria

Applicants must possess either:

Option 1

  • A minimum 2:2 degree (or equivalent/higher qualification) in any subject;

AND

At least

2 years' experience in:

  • Professional use of camera equipment and video editing software.
  • Graphic design for social media and website content.
  • Delivering strategic messaging or corporate storytelling through social media channels.
  • Using analytics and insights to measure digital content performance.

OR

Option 2

  • GCSE/O-Level qualifications (Grades A*-C) in four subjects, including English Language (or equivalent/higher qualifications);

AND

At least

4 years' experience across the areas listed above.

Desirable Criteria

Where required, shortlisting may be based on:

  • Third-level qualifications in Digital Media, Social Media Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience managing digital content across multiple online platforms and channels.
