Summary
Age Concern Tyneside South (ACTS) are looking for a Handyperson to join a small team to deliver a falls prevention service across the Borough of South Tyneside to prevent residents from falling through a range of interventions which enable them to live independently and safely at home.
The role of the handyperson is to multitask and have the ability and skills to execute numerous jobs, to work under the supervision of a manager/supervisor and have the ability to function and deliver based on tasks assigned to them. To carry out work identified through a variety of sources including clients, therapists and other professionals. To carry out risk assessments in peoples homes to identify falls risks. To fit small measures and carry out minor works to prevent the risk, fit aids and minor adaptations, joinery, moving furniture/equipment, making safe access routes into homes.
A full, valid UK driving licence is essential for this role, as you will be required to travel to client sites across South Tyneside and operate company vehicles.
