The school provides specialist education for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated communication, sensory and learning needs.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will:

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of pupils with autism.

- Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment that supports communication, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour.

- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals to deliver outstanding outcomes.

- Develop, review, and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets.

- Use evidence-based autism strategies, visual supports, and communication approaches to maximise pupil engagement and independence.

- Foster pupils' confidence, resilience, and life skills through creative and meaningful learning experiences.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

- Experience working with children or young people with Autism Spectrum Condition and additional learning needs.

- A calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching.

- A commitment to inclusive education and achieving the very best outcomes for every learner.

- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues.

Experience in a specialist setting is desirable but not essential. Applications are welcomed from experienced teachers and ECTs with a genuine passion for SEND.

What We Offer

- A welcoming and highly supportive leadership team.

- Excellent opportunities for professional development and specialist autism training.

- Small class sizes with experienced teaching assistants.

- Well-resourced classrooms and therapeutic support services.

- A comprehensive employee wellbeing programme.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check (child workforce), references, and compliance with KCSIE (2026) and safer recruitment guidelines. Overseas police checks may be required for candidates who have lived or worked abroad. Educato Limited is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and candidates to share this commitment.
