The school provides a nurturing and supportive learning environment for pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), moderate learning difficulties (MLD) and complex learning needs.

The successful candidate will join a committed team focused on creating personalised learning opportunities that enable every pupil to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs, abilities and aspirations of pupils. You will work closely with Teaching Assistants, SEN professionals and the wider school team to ensure pupils receive high-quality education and support.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver engaging, creative and differentiated lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN.

- Adapt teaching approaches and resources to support a range of learning needs and abilities.

- Develop personalised learning opportunities in line with pupils' EHCP targets and individual development plans.

- Monitor, assess and track pupil progress, using assessment information to inform future planning.

- Create a positive, structured and inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence and wellbeing.

- Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and support staff to maximise pupil outcomes.

- Support pupils' social, emotional and behavioural development through consistent and nurturing approaches.

- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and external professionals.

- Contribute to wider school initiatives and the continuous improvement of SEND provision.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent.

- Experience teaching within a specialist SEN setting or mainstream environment with significant SEND experience.

- A strong understanding of effective teaching strategies for pupils with additional needs.

- Experience supporting pupils with ASC, ADHD, SEMH, MLD or complex learning needs.

- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a calm and engaging learning environment.

- A patient, empathetic and flexible approach to supporting young people.

- A genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Desirable:

- Experience working with pupils with EHCPs.

- Knowledge of SEND assessment frameworks and personalised learning plans.

- Training or experience in areas such as autism support, communication strategies, positive behaviour approaches or sensory needs.

- Experience working alongside multidisciplinary teams.

What the School Offers:

- A welcoming and supportive staff team.

- A specialist learning environment designed around pupil needs.

- Access to ongoing SEND-focused training and professional development.

- The opportunity to make a meaningful impact on pupils' lives and educational journeys.

If you are a passionate SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity within a specialist setting on the Wirral, we would love to hear from you.

What Educato Limited Offers:

- Free access to high-quality CPD and safeguarding training.

- Personal support from a dedicated education recruitment consultant.

- Opportunities for long-term and permanent placements.

- Access to a wide range of education opportunities across the North West.
