Contract: Temporary
Full time/Part time: Full time, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: From £110 per day
Start date: 7th September 2026
Expected end date: 23rd July 2027
We are currently recruiting Teaching Assistants to work within welcoming and supportive primary schools across Ashton-under-Lyne. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced Teaching Assistants, graduates, or individuals with a genuine passion for supporting children to thrive both academically and personally.
The Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging lessons
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning
- Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting a safe, inclusive classroom environment
- Providing additional support to pupils with varying learning needs, including SEND where required
- Assisting with classroom preparation and general day-to-day school activities
- Upholding safeguarding procedures and school policies at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children (school-based experience is desirable)
- A positive, patient and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
- Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
