You will create appropriate testing plans, advise teams on the selection and use of testing tools, and help identify technical risks before software is released. You will also deliver training and guidance to client teams, helping them adopt effective testing practices and improve their ability to prevent, identify and manage software defects.
Responsibilities

Evaluate clients’ existing testing procedures and identify opportunities to improve quality, efficiency and reliability.
Create project-specific test strategies, plans, scenarios and acceptance criteria.
Recommend suitable manual and automated testing methods based on project scope, risk and delivery timescales.
Identify areas of potential software failure and ensure that important functions receive adequate test coverage.
Coordinate functional, integration, regression, system, performance and user-acceptance testing.
Advise development and project teams on defect prevention and software-quality improvements.
Review test outcomes, investigate recurring problems and help teams determine the cause of software defects.
Record and communicate testing progress, quality concerns and release risks to clients and stakeholders.
Support the introduction and configuration of testing tools and automation frameworks.
Work with developers to verify that reported defects have been resolved correctly.
Deliver workshops, demonstrations and training sessions on testing tools and quality-assurance processes.
Help client teams establish consistent testing standards, documentation and reporting procedures.
Contribute to continuous improvements across the software development and testing lifecycle.
Ensure completed software meets agreed business requirements, technical standards and client expectations.
