We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Business Systems Analyst to provide first- and second-line technical support to end users across the organisation. The role requires strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused approach to ensure timely resolution of IT issues and a seamless user experience.

Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities):

Analyse organisational capabilities, business models, operational processes, customer journeys, and technology ecosystems to identify strategic improvement opportunities.

Lead enterprise-level business discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, design-thinking sessions, and value-stream mapping exercises to establish business objectives and transformation roadmaps.

Translate strategic business goals into detailed functional, non-functional, operational, regulatory, security, integration, and reporting requirements.

Develop business capability models, operating models, process architectures, domain models, information flows, decision models, and solution blueprints aligned with organisational strategy.

Perform end-to-end business process analysis using BPMN 2.0, SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping, Event Storming, and Lean process improvement methodologies.

Produce high-quality Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), User Stories, Epics, Acceptance Criteria, Process Maps, Use Cases, Decision Tables, Traceability Matrices, and Solution Design Artefacts.

Facilitate requirements prioritisation using techniques including MoSCoW, Kano Analysis, WSJF, Business Value Scoring, Cost of Delay, and Risk-Based Prioritisation.

Bridge communication between executive stakeholders, product owners, architects, developers, QA teams, DevOps engineers, cybersecurity specialists, data engineers, vendors, and business users throughout the project lifecycle.

Support enterprise architecture alignment by analysing application landscapes, technology dependencies, integration points, APIs, middleware services, identity management, cloud infrastructure, and system interoperability.

Identify opportunities for AI, Machine Learning, Intelligent Automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Predictive Analytics, Generative AI, and Decision Intelligence to optimise business operations.

Conduct impact assessments covering business processes, applications, data structures, organisational change, regulatory obligations, and operational resilience.

Define data requirements including data dictionaries, conceptual/logical data models, business rules, metadata, master data, reference data, and data governance principles.

Support solution validation through requirement walkthroughs, design reviews, prototyping sessions, proof-of-concepts, user acceptance testing (UAT), system integration testing (SIT), and business readiness assessments.

Develop comprehensive test scenarios, business validation scripts, acceptance criteria, traceability documentation, and release readiness assessments.

Monitor solution adoption through KPI frameworks, business outcome measurement, benefits realisation tracking, user feedback analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all proposed solutions align with enterprise governance frameworks, cybersecurity standards, GDPR, accessibility regulations, audit requirements, risk management frameworks, and organisational policies.

Collaborate with Product Managers and Delivery Teams to refine product backlogs, sprint planning activities, release planning, and continuous delivery pipelines within Agile environments.

Analyse business intelligence, operational metrics, financial performance indicators, customer behaviour, and process analytics to identify optimisation opportunities.

Support procurement activities including vendor assessments, solution evaluations, RFP/RFI responses, commercial comparisons, technology due diligence, and implementation recommendations.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed [The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment]

Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).

Minimum 5-8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, Product Analyst, Digital Transformation Consultant, or Enterprise Systems Consultant.

Demonstrable experience delivering enterprise-scale business transformation programmes across multiple business domains.

Strong experience working within Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, Hybrid, and Waterfall delivery environments.

Extensive experience eliciting, analysing, documenting, validating, and managing complex business and system requirements.

Experience working collaboratively with delivery, engineering, marketing, finance, and customer success teams.

Ability to manage multiple high-value accounts while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction.

Professional sales certifications such as CPSP, NASP, Miller Heiman, Challenger Sales, SPIN Selling, or Sandler Training are advantageous.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or above in the UK or Equivalent.

Salary: £33,400-£45,000 per annum
