Summary
We are seeking a commercially aware and analytical Business Analyst to help improve business processes, systems and services across the organisation.
The successful candidate will work closely with managers, employees, clients and technical teams to understand operational challenges and identify practical opportunities for improvement. You will gather and assess business requirements, examine existing processes, evaluate potential solutions and support the delivery of changes that meet organisational objectives.
The role requires the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements that can be understood by both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You will also support project planning, process redesign, system implementation, testing and post-implementation reviews to ensure that agreed improvements deliver measurable benefits.
Responsibilities
Meet with stakeholders to understand business needs, operational difficulties and project objectives.
Gather, document and validate functional and non-functional requirements.
Review existing processes, systems and working practices to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
Produce process maps, workflow diagrams, business requirement documents and user stories.
Analyse information from different departments and present clear findings and recommendations.
Translate business requirements into detailed specifications for software developers and technical teams.
Assess proposed solutions to determine whether they are practical, cost-effective and aligned with business goals.
Facilitate meetings, interviews and workshops with stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
Work with project managers, developers, testers and business users throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Support the prioritisation of requirements according to business value, risk and project scope.
Identify project risks, dependencies, assumptions and potential impacts on existing operations.
Assist with system testing, user acceptance testing and the validation of delivered solutions.
Prepare test scenarios and confirm that completed changes meet the agreed requirements.
Support the implementation of new systems, processes and organisational changes.
Produce reports, presentations, business cases and other project documentation.
Provide guidance and support to users during the introduction of new processes or technology.
Review completed projects to confirm whether the expected outcomes and benefits have been achieved.
Maintain accurate records of requirements, decisions, changes and stakeholder approvals.
