Hourly Rate: £14.80 - £15.00

We are seeking a Mobile Kitchen Manager to support the Operations Team and on-site catering teams across the Wakefield contract, helping to deliver great food and a consistently high standard of service for students.

You will support site teams in managing performance, maintaining standards, and operating within agreed budgets and targets.

We are looking for an adaptable and hands-on individual who can work across different school environments, provide cover where required, support the training and development of site teams, and build strong relationships with clients, customers and colleagues.

The Role

Support catering teams to deliver high-quality food and service standards across sites.

Promote and maintain compliance with Health & Safety, Food Safety and hygiene requirements.

Train, coach and support kitchen teams, including inductions and refresher training.

Ensure menus, recipes, food presentation and portion control standards are followed.

Build positive relationships with clients, customers and colleagues.

Gather customer feedback and support initiatives to improve satisfaction and meal uptake.

Monitor performance, maintain accurate records and support business objectives.

Support financial controls, including food costs, stock management and company systems.

About You

Level 3 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to achieve within three months.

Experience as a Kitchen Manager, or the potential to progress from a catering role.

Ability to travel independently across the contract.

Strong school catering, food preparation and cooking knowledge.

Good understanding of Health & Safety practices.

Basic understanding of profit and loss management.

Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.

Experience with kitchen management systems, or willingness to learn.

Positive, proactive approach with the ability to build strong working relationships.
