Prebook Recruitment is working with a growing network of primary and secondary schools across Hayes that require confident, adaptable teachers to provide high-quality classroom cover throughout the academic year.
With opportunities available on a day-to-day, short-term and long-term basis, we'll work with you to find placements that suit your skills, availability and career goals.
About the Position
You'll play an important role in ensuring pupils continue to receive high-quality teaching whenever schools need additional support.
Typical responsibilities include:
- Delivering lessons that keep pupils engaged and learning throughout the school day.
- Following lesson plans provided by the school and adapting where appropriate.
- Creating a calm, respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
- Managing behaviour confidently using each school's policies and expectations.
- Encouraging pupils to participate, ask questions and achieve their best.
- Working professionally with teaching assistants, school leaders and wider staff teams.
- Providing clear handover notes at the end of each placement.
Who Should Apply?
We're looking for qualified teachers who enjoy working in different environments and can quickly establish positive relationships with pupils and colleagues.
Applicants should have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within UK primary or secondary schools.
- Strong classroom management skills and confidence leading lessons independently.
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
- A flexible, reliable and professional approach to teaching.
- A genuine commitment to maintaining high standards of education.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
Why Choose Flexible Teaching?
Many teachers choose supply because it allows them to enjoy teaching without the long-term commitment of a permanent post.
Benefits include:
- Greater control over your working pattern.
- The chance to work in a variety of schools and year groups.
- Valuable experience across different educational settings.
- Opportunities to secure long-term or permanent roles if desired.
- A healthier balance between work and personal life.
