About the Position
You'll take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering engaging lessons that help children build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy and wider learning.
The role includes:
- Planning engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Creating a classroom where children feel happy, secure and motivated to succeed.
- Using assessment to monitor progress and identify opportunities for additional support or challenge.
- Promoting positive behaviour through clear expectations and consistent routines.
- Encouraging children to become confident, independent learners.
- Working closely with colleagues and support staff to deliver outstanding learning experiences.
- Building positive relationships with parents and carers to support children's development.
Candidate Requirements
We're looking for teachers who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching in a UK primary school (applications from ECTs are welcomed).
- Good understanding of the National Curriculum for Key Stage 1.
- The ability to plan creative, engaging and differentiated lessons.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
