This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a highly respected school with an excellent reputation for inclusion and pastoral support. You will play an important role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve positive educational and personal outcomes within a nurturing environment.

You will provide tailored 1:1 and small group support for pupils who have experienced significant adverse childhood experiences and require a consistent, nurturing and trauma-informed approach. Your role will focus on building trusting relationships, promoting emotional regulation and encouraging pupils to engage positively with learning and school life. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
• Using trauma-informed approaches to create a safe, predictable and supportive learning environment.

• Delivering targeted interventions and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
• Supporting pupils to develop confidence, self-esteem and positive relationships with peers and staff.
• Working collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers and external professionals to ensure consistent support.
• Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual support plans where appropriate.

• Competitive rates of pay.
• A long-term full-time opportunity with the potential for a permanent position.
• Ongoing support from a dedicated Desian Education consultant.
• Free CPD and professional development opportunities.
• Company pension scheme.
• Full holiday entitlement.
