Summary
Desian Education are proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming, supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Runcorn. Due to continued growth within their Early Years provision, the school is seeking a Level 3 qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated EYFS team on a full-time temporary basis from September.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a highly regarded school with a strong commitment to providing outstanding support for all children. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the education, development and wellbeing of pupils within Reception, including those with additional special educational needs (SEN).
Your new role:
As a Level 3 Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the Reception class teacher to deliver engaging and inclusive learning experiences that support every child's development. You will provide tailored support to pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and within the wider classroom, ensuring all children are able to access the EYFS curriculum and achieve their individual learning goals.
A key aspect of the role will involve supporting children with additional needs, adapting activities and implementing strategies in line with individual support plans. You will help to create a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that enables every child to thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Supporting the delivery of the EYFS curriculum through engaging and creative learning activities.
• Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN, both individually and in small groups.
• Assisting with speech, language and communication development where appropriate.
• Supporting early phonics using the Read Write Inc. (RWI) programme.
• Delivering guided reading, mark-making and early writing activities.
• Observing, monitoring and recording children's progress against EYFS outcomes.
• Encouraging independence, confidence and positive behaviour throughout the school day.
• Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to ensure pupils receive the support they need.
