Salary: Up to £34,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)

Completely Care is recruiting on behalf of a successful early years provider for an experienced and motivated Third in Charge to join a dedicated nursery leadership team in Didcot.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Early Years professional who is looking to progress their career and take on a key leadership role within a thriving nursery setting.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager, you will provide support across the nursery, help lead the team and ensure consistently high standards of care, education and safeguarding.

This role would suit an experienced Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or Assistant Manager looking for the next step in their early years career.

The Role

As Third in Charge, you will:

Support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager with the daily running of the nursery.

Provide leadership, guidance and support to the wider nursery team.

Help maintain high standards of childcare, education and safeguarding.

Support staff development through coaching and mentoring.

Assist with planning, observations and children's learning journeys.

Ensure compliance with EYFS requirements and nursery policies.

Build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.

Step into leadership responsibilities when required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

A Level 3 Early Years qualification or above.

Previous experience in a senior childcare role such as Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or Assistant Manager.

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding requirements.

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

A passion for developing others and delivering exceptional childcare.

The confidence to support nursery operations and lead by example.
