Job Advert

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for Artificial Intelligence, automation and emerging technologies, eager to gain hands-on

experience in one of the fastest-growing areas of modern business?

We're looking for a motivated and curious Graduate AI & Data Science Technician to join our IT team and help drive the adoption of

AI, automation and data-driven innovation across the Devonshire Group. You'll play a key role in identifying opportunities where

emerging technologies can improve efficiency, enhance customer experiences and unlock new ways of working.

This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain hands-on experience with AI technologies, Microsoft Copilot,

automation platforms, machine learning concepts and modern data tools, while helping shape the future of digital innovation across

a diverse and growing organisation.

About the Role

As a Graduate AI & Data Science Technician, you'll support the Devonshire Group's AI and data strategy by exploring how artificial

intelligence can be applied across the business to improve efficiency, enhance decision-making, streamline processes and create

better experiences for customers and colleagues.

Working closely with colleagues across IT and the wider business, you'll gain exposure to a variety of projects focused on AI

adoption, intelligent automation, digital transformation, machine learning concepts and data-driven decision making. You'll help

evaluate emerging technologies, identify practical use cases and support the delivery of innovative solutions using Microsoft

Copilot, Power Platform, Azure AI services and other modern technologies.

You will also support the development of data pipelines, system integrations and automated business processes using Microsoft 365

and other digital technologies.

A significant aspect of the role will be championing the practical use of AI across the organisation. You'll help identify

opportunities where AI can reduce manual effort, improve customer and colleague experiences, support innovation and create

measurable business value. This will include working with technologies such as Microsoft Copilot, AI-powered automation and

emerging generative AI tools.

You'll also support the identification of opportunities where AI and data can contribute to business growth, improved services,

operational efficiency and new commercial opportunities across the Devonshire Group.

In addition, you'll support testing, documentation and continuous improvement activities, ensuring AI, automation and data

solutions remain effective, secure and reliable. The role offers exposure to a broad range of projects and provides an opportunity

to contribute directly to the organisation's wider AI, data and digital transformation roadmap.

Who We Are Looking For

You are naturally curious, enthusiastic about emerging technologies and genuinely excited by the potential for AI to transform how

organisations operate, serve customers and make decisions. You enjoy solving problems, working collaboratively and finding smarter

ways to improve processes and services.

You will hold a degree in Artificial Intelligence, AI & Data Science, Data Science, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a similar

discipline. You should have an understanding of AI concepts, machine learning principles, data analysis and the role technology

plays in supporting business improvement and decision-making. Experience working with AI, data or technology projects through

academic study, research, coursework, dissertations or placement opportunities is desirable.

You will be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and a methodical

approach to work. Strong communication skills are important, with the ability to explain technical information clearly to both

technical and non-technical audiences. You should be organised, collaborative and eager to learn, showing enthusiasm for

technology, innovation and continuous development.

Desirable experience includes exposure to AI tools and technologies, prompt engineering, Python, Power BI, SQL and Microsoft

Copilot. Experience with automation platforms, machine learning projects, generative AI technologies, data visualisation or

cloud-based AI services would be advantageous.

An interest in AI adoption, automation, process improvement and digital transformation is highly valued. Knowledge of Microsoft

technologies, particularly Microsoft 365, Power Platform and Copilot, would be advantageous.

Hours and Location

This is a fixed-term role for a period of 12-months, working 35 hours per week from the Chatsworth Estate Office, near Edensor,

Derbyshire. There will be some travel to other Devonshire Group locations.

Why join us

You’ll join a supportive and friendly IT team within a values-led organisation that genuinely cares about its people. You’ll play

a key role in helping the IT function operate effectively and professionally across a diverse, multi-site organisation.

We offer a range of benefits including a wellbeing calendar of events, an onsite gym and swimming pool, and a Colleague Pass

providing free access to Chatsworth for you and your guests, plus discounts across Devonshire Group hotels, shops and restaurants.
