As per Annex 21, during the 12 months of training, your starting salary represents 75% of the maximum of Band 7. You will remain on 75% pay of the maximum of Band 7 until successful completion of your competencies when you will be moved to 100% of the minimum Band 7 pay. Key Responsibilities: o Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical abilities, neurological conditions, and rehabilitation needs. o Develop tailored treatment plans, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapeutic interventions. o Deliver one-on-one and group therapy sessions to enhance patients' mobility, coordination, strength, and overall function. o Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, including Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Nurses, to provide holistic care. o Monitor and evaluate patients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. o Provide education and support to patients and their families, empowering them to actively participate in the rehabilitation process. o Contribute to the development of departmental policies, protocols, and research initiatives. The Operational Team Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Talking Therapies service. You will also be responsible for the line management of a team of clinicians, including performance management, professional development, and ensuring effective clinical practice to meet service delivery objectives. This role involves overseeing service delivery, coordinating staff and resources, and ensuring operational efficiency to meet service goals and performance targets. The role also requires building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to support the service's objectives. Skills and experience: Essential: Experience of line management provision to teams Experience working within multi-disciplinary settings Experience generating policies and procedural working practises Strong familiarity of using PowerBi for data analysis Ability to work individually or within a team and foster good working relationships Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desirable: Charted Management Institute Qualification / Institute of Leadership and Management Experience of budget management Experience working in mental health and/or employment within related fields Please note this is a fixed term role for 12 months. We are excited to offer a 1 year fixed-term vacancy for an Assistant Psychologist in the Home-Based Treatment Team in Furness Home Based Treatment Team. This post is being funded to provide opportunities for those who would normally be disadvantaged from applying for assistant psychologist posts. The post does require you have a psychology undergraduate degree that is accredited by the British Psychological Society. Home Based Treatment Teams provide services to people with complex mental health needs. The post holder will be an integral and valued team member of the team, with the support of Clinical Psychologists and other multidisciplinary colleagues, including Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers, Psychiatrists and support workers. The postholder will receive weekly clinical supervision from a Clinical Psychologist. The post holder will gain experience in psychological assessment, developing psychological formulations of specific problems, delivering 1:1 and group interventions. The role also involves engaging in indirect work within the team, with family members, carers and external agencies. There will be opportunities to be part of service development projects and to deliver training. An interest in working with individuals with a range of presentations across the lifespan will be essential, as is an interest in developing skills in working within a multidisciplinary framework. Whilst the base for this role would be Barrow in Furness, work completed may feed into the three Home Based Treatment Teams across the locality (The Bay - South Lakes, Furness and Lancaster & Morecambe). The role requires travelling within the community, including home visits. There is an option for hybrid working to align with service need. The post will sit as part of a wider team of psychological practitioners working within The Bay area. You will be working as a key member of the occupational therapy service department at Mossley Hill hospital.
