About the Role As a Care Assistant, you'll support vulnerable individuals in their own homes, helping them to live safely, independently, and with dignity. You'll assist with a range of tasks, from personal care to emotional support and everyday activities. We are currently supporting an active individual who was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis resulting in a C2 level spinal cord injury and full-time wheelchair use. Our client enjoys being out and about, including staying at the pub and festivals, and local walks, football, playing games, listening to music, as well as relaxing at home watching TV . Benefits: Full theoretical and practical training to support skills and development Career progression opportunities Ongoing support from Office Team, Registered Managers, and Clinical Nursing staff Weekly pay (PAYE or umbrella options available) Your responsibilities will include: Personal care (washing, dressing, toileting) Mobility and manual handling support (wheelchair transfers and positioning) Tracheostomy management and care Administering nebuliser treatments and assisting with cough assist equipment Meal preparation and feeding assistance Monitoring and recording vital signs Companionship and supporting active social outings (cinema, local walks, sporting events) Medication support (where trained) Household tasks (cleaning, laundry) Following care plans and reporting changes or concerns Who We're Looking For A minimum of 6 months of professional UK Care experience. Complex Care experience preferred, particularly with spinal injuries, tracheostomies, and respiratory management (cough assist / nebulisers).
