Purpose of the role This role will support the Finance Business Partner and will involve working closely with the core finance and operations teams to produce accurate, relevant and reliable financial information, including weekly / monthly reporting as well as forecasting and budgeting. There will also be a regular interaction with the client, to keep them informed of the performance of the account. How you'll make an impact as a Finance Analyst at Movianto: Partnering with the Operations team and Account Managers to assist with the production of weekly and monthly finance packs for the client, including a variance analysis of actual costs versus budget; Present weekly and monthly finance packs, running through the performance for the period; Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting for the contract, ensuring deadlines are met in compliance with open-book requirements; Assist finance business partners and other analysts with any adhoc analysis and business requests; Reporting of contractual KPIs to the client for both contracts; Use financial analysis to review costs and identify opportunities for cost optimisation and risk mitigation; Support central accounting team with month-end and year-end close; Collaborate with the Government Contracts team to identify areas of collaboration, support and opportunities to share knowledge; Ad-hoc support to the wider finance team where required. What it will take to thrive as a Finance Analyst at Movianto: Strong desire to learn, improve processes and challenge existing ways of working; Expertise with all MS Office applications, especially MS Excel; Able to communicate effectively and with confidence, with management and stakeholders across the business; Willingness to work and operate in a changing business environment; Ability to work independently and using own initiative; Strong analytical skills and the ability to use these skills to convey financial information to non-finance stakeholders; Open-book / cost-plus accounting experience advantageous; Understanding of the logistics sector advantageous.
