You'll be responsible for carrying out defect rectification, repairs, basic fault-finding and routine maintenance, working both independently and alongside experienced Technicians. You'll also support depot operations, safety-critical activities and continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Carry out routine rolling stock maintenance in accordance with Vehicle Maintenance Instructions (VMI). Undertake repair and basic fault-finding activities on DEMU Class 22X vehicles. Assist Technicians with maintenance and repair activities as required. Support the maintenance and upkeep of depot plant and equipment. Operate powered plant, lifting and mechanical handling equipment where trained and authorised. Move Class 22X vehicles around the depot site where trained and competent. Undertake Designated Person (DP) activities where trained and authorised. Support wider depot operational activities as directed by management. Maintain high standards of housekeeping and ensure work areas remain safe and hazard-free. Complete accurate maintenance records and provide clear shift handovers. Report defects, incidents, recurring faults and safety concerns. About You Essential Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in an Engineering discipline. - Mechanical or Electrical. Experience working within a Rolling Stock Engineering environment. Job title: Reporting and Intelligence Analyst Job Type: Contract Start date: Immediate Duration: Up to Dec 2026 (Rolling 12-month contract) Pay rate: Up to £265 per day PAYE, £360 per day Umbrella Location: Bridgwater, Somerset - travel required to local sites in the area as and when required Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week Role Overview The Reporting & Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Documents, Records & Completions function by delivering accurate and insightful management information, performance reporting and data analysis. The role will be responsible for developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, KPI reporting and a single source of truth across departmental data, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and identify opportunities for improvement. Working closely with operational teams and wider programme stakeholders, the role will focus on improving data quality, reporting consistency and automation, translating complex data into clear insights that support performance, compliance and delivery outcomes across a major engineering and infrastructure programme. Applicants should be able to demonstrate of the following skills/experience: Strong experience using Power BI and developing dashboards and management reports. Experience analysing large datasets and data from multiple systems. Experience developing KPI frameworks and performance reporting. Strong data quality, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience automating and improving reporting processes. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Degree qualified or equivalent relevant experience. Experience within construction, engineering, infrastructure or a regulated environment desirable. Nuclear, Quality, Completions, Document Control or Records Management experience desirable. Maintenance Technician (Heavy Gang - Nights) Location: Etches Park, Derby Contract: 6-12 Months Hours: Full Time Shift: 4 on / 4 off, 19:15-06:30 Rate: £28.26 p/hr Umbrella Overtime: £35.47 p/hr Umbrella Working Environment: Site-based Role We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician to join a modern rolling stock maintenance depot in Derby. You will be responsible for scheduled, preventative and corrective maintenance on rolling stock, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Key Responsibilities Carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing and examinations on rolling stock. Fault-find and complete basic repairs and rectification work. Support train modifications, campaigns and the introduction of new trains. Undertake depot driving duties where required. Support maintenance activities at outstations, testing locations and mainline stations. Record maintenance activities and stock usage on the Maintenance Management System (MMS). Follow all health & safety procedures and contribute to continuous improvement. Support Team Leaders and Production Managers in achieving the maintenance plan. Be willing to travel and occasionally stay overnight away from base. Essential Requirements Network Rail Sentinel PTS Served apprenticeship in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering. NVQ Level 3 Engineering or equivalent. Experience working in a 24/7 rolling stock maintenance environment. Strong railway safety awareness. Experience with fault finding, repair and remote train diagnostics/laptops. Experience using Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) and reliability/availability data. Experience working at outstations or mainline stations. Experience carrying out modifications and campaigns on modern rolling stock. Competent in Manual Handling, COSHH, Working at Height, powered plant and tools.
