Mitie is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join a key strategic account, helping to deliver a varied portfolio of projects from initial concept through to completion. This hybrid role supports projects primarily across London, with some activity extending across the Midlands-to-London region. While much of the role can be carried out through a blend of home and office-based working, travel to client sites will be required. Depending on project activity and business needs, site attendance is typically expected several times each month. Working closely with the Account Manager, project teams and client stakeholders, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, effectively and in line with agreed objectives. The role offers the opportunity to build strong relationships, support continuous improvement and contribute to the development of a growing project management function. About the RoleThis is a varied position that combines project delivery, stakeholder engagement and team leadership. You'll help coordinate multiple projects within the account, supporting successful outcomes while maintaining high standards of governance, safety and compliance. Key responsibilities include: -Managing projects throughout the full lifecycle, from planning and mobilisation through to handover and close-out. -Coordinating project scope, resources, schedules, risks and change control activities. -Monitoring budgets, forecasts and financial performance to support effective project delivery. -Maintaining project documentation and ensuring compliance with client and Mitie governance requirements. -Building positive and trusted relationships with clients, colleagues and supply chain partners. -Supporting the identification of future project opportunities across the account. Supporting Project Management ExcellenceAs the senior project management lead within the account, you'll help embed consistent processes, tools and ways of working that support successful project outcomes. You'll also provide guidance and support to project managers and project support teams, encouraging knowledge sharing, continuous learning and professional development. This will include: -Promoting project management best practice across the account. -Supporting project assurance, controls and governance activities. -Coaching and developing team members to help build capability and confidence. -Creating an inclusive, supportive and collaborative team environment. Working with Clients and StakeholdersStrong relationships are central to this role. You'll work with a range of stakeholders across the client organisation, Mitie teams and external partners to ensure projects remain aligned with business needs and expectations. You'll also: -Communicate project updates, risks and key decisions clearly and proactively. -Prepare and present monthly project reports covering progress, financial performance, risk, safety and key metrics. -Support effective decision-making through accurate and timely reporting. -Ensure all activities meet contractual, governance and security requirements. This role requires a considered and responsible approach to risk management, health and safety, and security standards. You'll likely have: -Experience delivering projects from initiation through to completion. -A track record of coordinating multiple projects or programmes simultaneously. -Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills. -Experience supporting, developing or leading project teams. -Knowledge of project governance, reporting and budget management. -An understanding of risk management and change control processes. -Knowledge of CDM regulations and safe working practices. -Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance, or eligibility and willingness to undergo DV clearance. Desirable Qualifications and ExperienceThe following would be beneficial: -APM PMQ, PPQ, Chartered Project Professional (ChPP) or equivalent. -PRINCE2, MSP or another recognised project management qualification. -NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate. -Experience within Facilities Management, property services or the built environment. -Experience working within secure or regulated environments.
