It is essential that you have a degree in ecology or a similar subject, and experience in the preparation and review of ecological strategies, plans and reports, and in the provision of advice on ecological matters, as well as experience of partnership working and report writing. It is desirable that you have experience of working with and supporting community and special interest groups. You will have the ability to analyse information and present your analysis clearly, and will have negotiation, dispute resolution and collaboration skills, as well as working knowledge of Microsoft 356 applications or equivalent, and a willingness to learn new applications and technology. You must have a positive attitude, and effective communication and customer skills, and be willing and able to travel across Renfrewshire to undertake site visits and attend meetings as required. It is desirable that you have an understanding of legislation relevant to the tasks associated with this post and familiarity with the land use planning system.
