Summary

The Royal College of Nursing is launching and growing Nest, our digital community platform. Nest brings together nurses, healthcare professionals, leaders and experts to share knowledge, build connections and support professional development.

As our Community Manager, you'll play a leading role in making Nest a lively, valuable and welcoming place to be.

This is a hands-on role where you'll combine community building, content creation, engagement, moderation and relationship management. You'll help people find value in the platform, support volunteer community leaders, encourage meaningful conversations and use insight and data to help the community grow.

No two days will be quite the same. One day you might be helping launch a new community, the next analysing engagement trends, supporting a webinar, developing resources for community leaders or working with colleagues to improve the user experience.

If you enjoy bringing people together, creating engaging online experiences and helping communities thrive, we'd love to hear from you.

Essential requirements

We're looking for someone who understands what makes people participate, contribute and keep coming back to a community. You'll have experience managing online communities, membership platforms or digital engagement programmes, and you'll be comfortable balancing day-to-day community management with longer-term growth and development. To succeed in this role, you'll need: Experience managing or growing online communities or digital engagement platforms. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Experience creating or coordinating engaging digital content. Confidence moderating discussions and managing sensitive situations professionally. The ability to use data and user feedback to improve engagement and participation. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities. A commitment to creating inclusive, welcoming and respectful online spaces.
