Summary
A Commercial Operations Manager / Sales Operations Lead is needed to join The Legal Director (TLD), a specialist legal services business providing experienced, senior lawyers to growing companies on a flexible basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, proactive professional who understands B2B sales processes, thrives on responsibility and, most importantly, gets things done.
The Legal Director helps established SMEs and growing businesses access senior legal expertise without the cost of employing a full time General Counsel. Combining commercial insight, experienced lawyers and smart technology, TLD provides practical legal support that helps businesses make better decisions and manage risk.
This newly created role sits at the heart of TLD's operations, connecting commercial activity, proposals, CRM, marketing and wider business delivery. Working closely with senior leadership, you'll take ownership of the processes that turn opportunities into clients, ensuring actions are followed through, proposals are created, sales conversions are optimised, deadlines are met and nothing falls between the cracks.
On a day to day basis, you'll coordinate the commercial process from initial discovery calls through to proposals, approvals, follow ups and client handover. You'll draft professional proposals using meeting notes and AI tools, manage CRM pipelines and reporting, coordinate marketing campaigns and suppliers, and keep projects moving across the business. You'll also manage a Business Operations Assistant and identify smarter ways of working.
This is a practical, commercially focused role for someone who enjoys making things happen. You'll need the confidence to challenge senior stakeholders, chase outstanding actions and solve problems independently. It's not about simply tracking progress; it's about taking ownership and delivering results.
