Summary
HGV Technician – Rotating Shifts
Nottingham | Up to £20 per hour DOE | OTE £50,000
Description
We are recruiting for an HGV Technician to join an established commercial vehicle workshop in Nottingham.
Salary – Up to £20 per hour, depending on experience, with overtime earning potential of £50,000.
Shift Pattern
•
Shift 1: Monday–Friday, 15:30–00:00.
•
Shift 2: Tuesday–Friday, 06:00–15:30.
•
Alternative Saturdays: 06:00–15:30.
• Minimum 42.5 hours per week.
The HGV Technician Role
• Service, maintain and repair trucks and vans.
• Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical repairs.
• Complete work to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
• Use diagnostic equipment and workshop systems.
• Support apprentices and the wider workshop team.
• Keep up to date with technical developments.
Requirements
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience working on commercial vehicles.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Main dealer, HGV licence, Renault Trucks or Isuzu Trucks experience advantageous.
