HGV Technician to join a professional commercial vehicle workshop in Nottingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified
HGV Technician looking for a stable permanent position with a structured shift pattern,
with the 15% late-shift premium already included in the advertised annual salary, plus overtime opportunities and ongoing technical development.
Shift Pattern
Day Shift
• Monday–Friday:
06:00–15:30
Afters Shift
• Monday–Thursday:
14:00–00:00
• Friday:
14:30–22:00
• Every other Saturday:
07:00–13:00
The advertised £62,726 annual salary already includes the 15% late-shift premium.
The Role
As an
HGV Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HGVs to a high standard, ensuring vehicles remain safe, reliable and operational.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Carrying out servicing and preventative maintenance
• Completing HGV inspections
• Preparing vehicles for MOT testing
• Carrying out mechanical and electrical checks
• Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults
• Completing repairs to a high standard
• Carrying out effective fault finding and preventative maintenance
• Ensuring vehicles are maintained safely and efficiently
• Completing relevant inspection and maintenance paperwork
• Working as part of a professional workshop team
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
About You
We're looking for an experienced
HGV Technician who has:
• Level 3 HGV or Level 3 LCV qualification
• Previous experience working on commercial vehicles
• Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• A reliable and professional approach
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Flexibility to work the rotating shift pattern
Previous experience as an
HGV Technician within a commercial vehicle workshop or fleet environment would be advantageous.
