Summary

HGV Technician – Nottingham

We are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Truck Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician to join a busy commercial vehicle workshop in Nottingham.

Applicants must have previous experience working on commercial vehicles and hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. A Category C+E Driving Licence and IRTEC accreditation are desirable but not essential.

Location: Nottingham

Salary: £49-60,000

Hours: Rotating weekly shift pattern, plus Saturdays on a rota

HGV Technician Role

- Service, inspect, maintain and repair commercial vehicles

- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults

- Carry out routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance

- Identify and rectify faults on modern commercial vehicles

- Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard

- Work on both truck and light commercial vehicle applications

- Maintain high workshop and safety standards

HGV Technician Requirements

- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, Commercial Vehicle Technician, Truck Technician or similar

- Previous commercial vehicle workshop experience

- Level 3 City & Guilds, Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), NVQ, BTEC qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent

- Strong technical, diagnostic and fault-finding skills

- Ability to work a rotating weekly shift pattern

- Category C+E Driving Licence is desirable but not essential

- IRTEC accreditation is desirable but not essential

Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday, 6:00am–3:30pm

Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am

Friday, 2:30pm–10:00pm

Saturdays on a rota, minimum two per month.
