Hays Education is proud to be working in partnership with a warm, nurturing and highly regarded infant school in the Leyland area to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team after October half-term.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a caring school community that places children's wellbeing, early development and academic success at the heart of everything it does. The successful candidate will join a supportive staff team and teach a delightful Year 1 class, helping pupils build confidence and develop key skills during this important stage of their primary education.

Your new role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that inspire a love of learning.

Support children as they continue their transition from the Early Years into Key Stage 1.

Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment.

Assess and monitor pupil progress, ensuring all children achieve their full potential.

Work collaboratively with parents, support staff and colleagues to promote pupil success.

Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.

Demonstrate excellent classroom management and organisational skills.

Be passionate about early education and child development.

Have high expectations for attainment, progress and behaviour.

Build strong relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.

Be committed to creating an engaging and supportive learning environment.
