Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Blackburn to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team after the October half-term break.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 practitioner to make a positive impact during a crucial stage of children's educational development. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching within a supportive school environment where pupil progress, wellbeing and achievement are at the heart of everything they do.

Your new role

As the Year 1 Teacher, you will:

Plan and deliver engaging and creative lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum.

Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.

Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively.

Foster strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.

Support children as they continue their transition through the early stages of primary education.

Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.

What you'll need to succeed

The successful applicant will:

Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Have experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1.

Demonstrate excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

Be committed to raising standards and ensuring positive outcomes for all pupils.

Have a creative and engaging approach to teaching and learning.

Be a positive team player with excellent communication skills.
