Summary

Dimensions is proud to be one of very few social care organisations that are accredited by the Great Places To Work programme in 2026 - now 7 years in a row!

At Dimensions, our ambition is simple: Better Lives for More People. We're looking for an experienced, commercially astute and values-driven leader to join our senior leadership team as Head of Business Development, helping shape and deliver the next phase of our growth journey.

This is a unique opportunity to influence strategy at a national level while ensuring that every growth decision remains grounded in what matters most: improving outcomes, choice and opportunities for people with learning disabilities, autism and complex needs.

As a member of the Dimensions Leadership Team, you will lead business development activity across the organisation, championing innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement. Working closely with operational, housing, finance, communications and executive colleagues, you will identify, develop and secure opportunities that support sustainable growth, organisational resilience and high-quality, person-centred support.

This is a home-based role with occasional national travel as required.

Interviews will take place in London on Thursday the 26th November .

About the Role

As Head of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in delivering the Dimensions Group strategy, ensuring that growth opportunities are commercially sound, operationally deliverable and aligned to our values. You will lead a talented team and work across the organisation to maximise opportunities, strengthen partnerships and enhance our position as a provider of choice.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and develop the Group's business development function, driving a culture of innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

- Support the Commercial Director in developing and delivering strategic growth plans that align with Dimensions' vision, mission and long-term ambitions.

- Provide strategic business partnering and commercial insight to regional operational teams, supporting growth, contract retention and service development.

- Oversee tendering, proposal development and business case activity, ensuring submissions are high quality, commercially robust and aligned to organisational priorities.

- Ensure the voices, aspirations and outcomes of people we support remain at the heart of growth and service development activities.

About You

We're looking for an accomplished leader who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen and a deep commitment to social care.

You'll bring:

- Significant experience of business development, growth planning and strategic leadership within social care or a related sector.

- A strong track record of building and maintaining productive partnerships with commissioners, stakeholders and strategic partners.

- Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams, including remote and geographically dispersed colleagues.

- The ability to identify opportunities, solve complex problems and turn ideas into practical outcomes.

Ideally, you'll also have:

Knowledge of the learning disability sector and wider social care landscape.

Why Join Dimensions?

This is an opportunity to help shape the future of one of the UK's leading not-for-profit social care providers. You'll have the chance to influence national growth strategy, lead meaningful change and make a lasting difference to the lives of the people we support.
