Summary

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established main dealer parts operation in Maidstone, for the position of Parts Advisor. This role offers a unique opportunity for experienced motor trade professionals seeking a rewarding career within a reputable company that values quality service, employee development, and community involvement.

This Parts Advisor position involves providing expert advice to customers regarding automotive parts and accessories. You will generate new business through outbound sales calls, process customer orders accurately, and collaborate closely with the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets. The role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a solid understanding of automotive parts.

Benefits for the successful Parts Advisor:

- Competitive basic salary of £32,000 plus a bonus of £4,000 (OTE £36,000)

- Working hours Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:15 PM, with one in five weeks until 5:30 PM

- Saturday mornings, 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM, one in three Saturdays

Duties of the Parts Advisor:

- Responding to inbound customer inquiries with expert advice on automotive parts and accessories

- Conducting outbound sales calls to generate new business and strengthen relationships

- Processing customer orders promptly and accurately ensuring timely delivery

- Maintaining updated product knowledge and industry trends

- Collaborating with team members to achieve sales targets

- Handling customer issues professionally and resolving inquiries efficiently

Requirements of the Parts Advisor:

- Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a related automotive customer service role

- Strong telephone manner and excellent communication skills

- Good organisational skills with attention to detail

- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office applications

- Passion for the automotive industry

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
