Further details about the role

The school’s ‘Gold Standard’ underpins everything. The systems and procedures in place are known and understood by everyone. (Ofsted, February 2020)

We are looking to appoint an SEND TA to support school's evolving SEND offer and join a team of SEND practitioners. A key aspect of this role will be supporting the delivery of statutory provision and outcomes identified within Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), working under the direction of the SENDCo and alongside class teachers. While the role may involve significant support for pupils with EHCPs, the successful candidate will join the school’s SEND team and may work across the school's SEND provision according to the needs of pupils and priorities of the school.

We want to employ someone who has the ambition, drive and resilience to serve in an inner-city school and who is unwavering in their commitment to improve the outcomes and lives of children.

Are you a passionate and dedicated person who could make a difference to the lives of children? Have you got experience of supporting children with a range of special educational needs? Do you work well with others and are you happy to provide support to the wider staff team? Maybe you’re thinking of a career in teaching and want to gain experience. Seacroft Grange could be for you!

We encourage you to look around our school before applying and you can book an appointment by contacting: Julie Hinchliff, School Business Manager on 0113 2605385 or emailing businessmanager@seacroftgps.org.uk. Closing date: 2/11/2026, Shortlisting: 3/11/2026, Interviews: week commencing 9/11/2026. Please note handwritten applications will not be accepted.

Do you want to work in a school with a Headteacher and Governing Body who set out a crystal-clear direction for the school? (Ofsted, June 2016) Can you help us to achieve our commitment of wanting ‘the best for and the best from everyone in our learning community’?

We are ideally looking for someone who could add to our before and after school club offer and we would like to discuss this with you should you be invited to interview.

Please visit our website at www.seacroftgps.org.uk for more information about the school.

Commitment to safeguarding

We promote diversity and wish to reflect the population of Leeds within our school. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of all our pupils and expect staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Appointments would be subject to an enhanced DBS and two references, at least one from your present employer. Employment (for non teaching posts) is subject to a probationary period as set out in the probationary policy and procedures as adopted by the Governing Body of our school. A copy is available from school.
