Location: Crouch End, Haringey, N8 (commutable from Hornsey, Muswell Hill, Wood Green, Finsbury Park and Highgate)
Pay: £110-£120 per day

Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Looking for a varied Teaching Assistant role where you can support the whole class while making a real difference to pupils with additional needs?
Long Term Futures is recruiting a confident and proactive KS2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming junior school in Haringey this November.
You'll provide a combination of general classroom support and targeted SEN assistance, helping pupils across Key Stage 2 develop confidence, independence and stronger academic skills.
About the Role
- Support teaching and learning across KS2 (Years 3-6)
- Provide general classroom assistance alongside the class teacher
- Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group SEN support
- Help pupils access English, Maths and wider curriculum lessons
- Support children with additional learning, attention or communication needs
- Deliver literacy and numeracy interventions where required
- Encourage positive behaviour, independence and classroom engagement
- Adapt resources and activities to individual learning levels
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCo to monitor progress
Ideal Candidate
- Previous primary school Teaching Assistant experience is strongly preferred
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN is essential
- Good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
- Confident supporting English and Maths
- Able to balance whole-class responsibilities with individual pupil needs
- Patient, adaptable and proactive within a busy classroom
- Strong communication and positive behaviour management skills
