We’re seeking a hands-on Junior Technical Engineer with a mechanical or electrical/electronic engineering background to join a technical team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with transferable skills who is keen to learn, develop specialist calibration expertise and build a long-term career.

Key Responsibilities:

Support technical calibration activities and follow established engineering procedures.

Handle technical equipment, calibration standards and measurement artefacts correctly.

Interpret measurement results and assist with technical assessments.

Maintain accurate records using IT systems and specialist software.

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver accurate, high-quality technical work.

Essential Requirements:

BTEC ONC in a relevant engineering discipline, a recognised engineering apprenticeship, equivalent accredited training or relevant practical experience.

Background in mechanical, electrical or electronic engineering.

Ability to follow detailed technical procedures accurately.

Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to learn.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and other IT systems.

Desirable: Calibration experience, knowledge of measurement principles and traceability, or familiarity with metrology software.
