Hourly Rate: £18.85 per hour

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Shifts: 10 hour shifts, weekend working required.

We are seeking an experienced Catering Manager to assist the Hotel Services Manager and create delicious, nutritious meals that reflect the preferences and dietary needs of our residents. Our kitchen operates on a planned production model—busy, well‑organised and never unpredictable. With an à la carte‑style menu, you’ll also have space to bring creativity to seasonal dishes.

And with no late nights, structured rotas and consistent hours, the role offers genuine work–life balance.

What you'll do

To assist the HSM in the provision and maintenance of a high quality, nutritionally balanced and well presented food service.

The preparation and cooking of food following menus already prepared by the Catering Manager.

 To supervise and help train junior staff in catering duties.

To train junior staff in all Food Hygiene, Health and Safety and COSHH regulations, ensuring compliance with the same.

 Order and check in all kitchen supplies, maintaining stock control systems and accurate records.

To ensure the safe storage of all food stuffs, to control the stock rotation and to ensure the economical use of supplies.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience catering for significant numbers in a Care Home is desirable

Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH and IDDSI

Ability to work 10‑hour shifts on a rota including alternate weekends.

NVQ II/III in Catering 

Strong organisational skills with consistent attention to detail.

A collaborative, resident‑focused approach.
